Poornank is a support group for families and children through adoption as one of the programs in Sroat which is a charitable organization which is established in 2010.

Our Mission

Poornank is a support group for families and children through adoption as one of the programs in Sroat which is a charitable organization which is established in 2010.

This support group is started in 2016 and around 200+ parents and children are members of this group. We use whats app and facebook for networking with these families along with individual contacts as and when required.

Providing support to parents

Providing Pre-adoption counseling, post-adoption counseling. Addressing queries regarding child growth and legal processes

Sharing about Adotption

Working with parents to share the fact about “adoption” with their children. Sharing stories about the adoption journey with other parents and children

Helping to deal with Trauma

Support children in various stages if they happen to go through any trauma

Peer counseling for Adoptees

Capacity building of children from adoption who are grown-ups to be a peer counselor for other children going through challenges

Sensitisation about adoption

Sensitisation in schools and society regarding adoption facts

Workshops and Meetups

Arranging get together and workshops at various cities for parents and children
